places to trade online. Here's how you're protected with built-in
safeguards every time you buy or sell:
- Instantly check the "reputation" or business practices
of anyone at whybidmore.com.
The Feedback
Forum is a place where whybidmore.com users leave comments about
each other's buying and selling experiences. If you're a bidder,
check your seller's Feedback Profile before you place a bid to learn
about the other person's reputation with previous buyers.
Sellers will do the same with you.
In general, if you are satisfied with a user's Feedback Profile,
it's probably safe to do business with that person. However,
if you viewed a member's feedback and there are still questions
or unresolved issues, use the whybidmore.com escrow service explained
below.
- When buying expensive items, inspect what you buy before
sending payment by asking your seller to consider easy-to-use escrow
services.
whybidmore.com will hold your payment and send it off to the
seller only after you've inspected your merchandise and given your
approval. Seller should not have any problem putting your mind
at ease, because whybidmore.com escrow is a plus.
First, you must register.
To register
click on "Register"
and fill out the small form. You will be emailed a password.
Check your email and retrieve this password then close your email
screen and Click on Confirm
Registration. Then you will be able to input a new password.
Remember that if you bid on an item, it is a legal binding contract.
We DO NOT allow you to register with a free email account.
PLEASE use the email that is
provided by your ISP. This will help us cut down on any fraud!
NOT A DIME! There is no charge to be a buyer, but you must
register
before you can bid on an item. Anyone can browse the classifieds
section for free. When you bid on an item, this automatically
becomes a legal binding contract between you and the seller.
PLEASE do not bid unless you intend to honor your bid. If you don't
honor your bids, your
account will be terminated.
After you have registered, you can then bid on items. This auction
software uses Proxy
bidding. That means that you can enter the maximum amount of
money that you are willing to pay
for this item. The computer will then place bids for you up to the
amount that you stated.
As an example, lets say the item is $1.00 and you bid $5.00 and the
bid increment is
$1.00. (Each seller can specify the bid increment).
If another person bids $2.00, your bid
will automatically be raised to $3.00. If someone bids $4.00, your
bid will automatically be
raised to $5.00.
If someone then bids $6.00, you are out bid and you will receive
an email notifying you that
you were out bid and you can then put in a higher bid if you desire.
When you bid, you are entering a legal binding contract. If
you do not intend to pay for the
item(s) that you bid on, PLEASE do not place a bid.
We will cancel your account if you place a bid and do not pay according
to the terms and conditions of the seller. So read their ad carefully,
and be absolutely sure that you will honor the bid if you are the
high bidder.
If someone bids higher than you, an email will be sent to you telling
you that someone bid higher than you. At that time, you can return
to the whybidmore.com website and bid a higher amount.
You will be notified by email if you were the high bidder. At the
end of an auction, the seller
has 3 days to contact you to inform you that you are the high bidder,
and where to send
the payment. Be sure to read their ad for terms of payment. Some sellers
will wait 5-10
business days for a personal check to clear before they ship, while
other sellers may not
accept checks, or will not wait until the check to clear before they
send the payment.
After you receive your item(s), it is important that you post
feedback for that seller.
If you do not receive your item(s) within a reasonable amount of time,
email the seller to find
out what the problem is. If after a reasonable time, you do not receive
the product, post
a
feedback, however, don't be hasty.
Sometimes a seller will have a legitimate reason for a delay, i.e.,
their computer crashes,
they have to leave out of town for an emergency etc. Again, before
you do anything see if
you can get in touch with the seller before you take any action.
We are in no way responsible for any loss regardless of the circumstances.
However, we
may terminate the sellers account if you paid for an item and did
not receive it, and contact
the proper authorities on your behalf.
If the item is expensive, request that the seller insure the package
for your protection. The
seller may charge an additional fee, but it's well worth it.
